We just started this job. It had one of those do it your self antiquing kits over many layers of milk paint ( Messy to strip) once we got all the layers, we found a really nice piece under all that paint. we will take it all apart now finish cleaning it and sand and re-glue it with marine epoxy. then stain it to choice and finish with clear lacquer.
